I went to manhattan aquariums and got a new bulkhead and new parts for a new durso stand pipe. Going to modify it to a flex tubing down below to the sump that way there are no 90 degree bends where you have 2 feet of pvc going flat across horizontally. I feel this causes water weight pressure up onto the bulk head. Instead ill just flex tube it down into the sump, no bends and always on a slant decline downward.

For sure the silicone was there because it leaked on the guy you bought it from.

You may want to go online and buy a schedule 80 bulkhead, unless the one you bought already is but i dont think so. Install the one you bought and replace it with a schedule 80 later much better.

So i took the bulkhead off. Looks like it wasnt the bulkhead. The tank is cracked. I couldnt see it from the inside cause the back glass is black plus the crack is behind the overflow.

This is seriously depressing and i think i may calling this hobby quits. I loved this tank.

I pmed him and he doesnt answer. People make mistakes. And i dont know that he knew there was a leak. I got a negative rating from some jerk that didnt like i didnt come over to his house to listen to his skimmer. Im not gonna give a neg rating to a guy i dont know for sure new this tank was faulty. He may have been unaware of the crack on tank as i was. Im the stupid one that bought a tank that had silicon on the back. I deserve a neg rating for being a dumb ass. Thanks guys. For all ur help. My last few posts will be about selling everything.

For all ur help. My last few posts will be about selling everything.

Can post some pics of where the leak is? or draw a simple picture? maybe there's a way to deal with it if the area doesn't need to hold too much water and there's not a lot of pressure.

As the other said, based on the amount of silicone in the area (bulkheads dont need silicone) there was probably a leak in the past. crack or no crack. It is very possible that the silicone was enough until you moved it. If so then why not try to get back to that situation again?

Again it has to do with where the leak is.

stop your return pump and then drain your over flow or best thing remove your dorso pipe and let all the water drain in our sump and make it as dry as possible and then silicone fron in side or outside or consider replacing the rubber gasket and that should do it i hope it works for you and good luck
