Alright here's an update:

Came home and fortunately everything looked normal. Fish were swimming around fine and finger leather looked same as usual.

Here are the water parameters prior to a water change...

temperature 77
salinity 1.024
ph ~8
ammonia 0
nitrite 0
Nitrate ~20

(I use an API test kit and if the parameter is not 0, I find it's kind of hard to match the test color to the tablet. anybody else with this issue?)

Did a 20% water change anyways and just hoping everything is okay right now. There seems to be an ever greater abundance of copepods on the glass tank now (this is good right?). I saw a very tiny worm like creature on my glass. :Yikes: It was maybe a couple of millimeters in length at most. It was all white and as simple of a worm as you could imagine. HOpefully a bristle and not a fireworm =/

So I was just wondering what was wrong this morning. I'm pretty sure last night there was some soap residue on the net and some foam/bubbles that came off the net (and not the regular bubbles that come from air pockets). Perhaps it was only a very small amount that didn't really affect the live stock?? or maybe affected the fish just a little bit and the effects went away after a while?

or maybe that's just how clownfish are in the morning? I'm used to him swimming in place, and sideways on the surface of the water. This time he was just swimming all over the tank and bumping into the glass and rocks... I'm thinking the swimming patterns and behavior of a clown is not the best way to check for water quality.

I turned on the full lights and waved my hand at the tank/fish and he usually reacts. This morning he didn't react at all so I naturally assumed he couldn't see my hand.

When you wake your tank up in the morning - do you usually turn on the tank lights all at once? What king of lighting do you have? Are the room lights on first?

Also - can you possibly post a pic of the tank? :)
(crappy cell phone pics are acceptable in this case! ;))

If I wake up before dawn (work days) I turn on the acintics first normally but I noticed the clown swimming all over the tank in the dark and bumping into stuff, I turned on the acintics this time and no difference.. So I Quickly turned on reg lights just to see if he would act differently... He didn't.. Prob In deep dream or something lol so that had me a little worried.. It looked like he was just swimming frantically but using feel to guide his movement... This was the only time turned on the the full lights right away.

I have regular stock lighting of the biocube - 24w 10000k compact fluorescent lighting.

I will send u a pic of the tank tomorrow evening when I get a chance :)
