I am going to setup a frag tank/holding tank for my "unwanted" corals for trading/selling/growout purposes. It will be mixed with LPS/SPS/Softies.
I want to setup my tank with corals I want in the display that seemed cool when I was buying them but just doesn't fit the tank well.
Anyways, long story short. I just bought a frag tank 23x20x7.5..........SAY WHAT!!! 7.5 HEIGHT? I've never had to deal with lighting with such shallow water before. I don't want to put corals in there for a SUN TAN, BLEACH/BURN!!!!!
I have been looking up frag tank setups but can't find an answer what type of lighting I should use.
I was thinking of going with PAR30/38.....question is does the lamp or socket have to be anything specific or does it fit a regular lamp socket and must watch for something that can hold the weight of the bulb.
Or go with a traditional T5 setup. I would think I could get away with a 2bulb configuration since the depth....if that is even considered depth would be max 3-5" of water?
Which lighting would you go with due to the dimensions?
