oceanic salt mixed with instant ocean?

Are there any probs with mixing instant ocean and other salts? I am a fan of IO and I plan on using it for all my water changes, but as far as filling the rest of my tank, i am planning on going with oceanic

I am doing the combo right now to fill my tank - leftover Oceanic from Midnight Madness at Absolutley fish and IO casue my system is alot more than 200g. No checmical reactions yet, so I think I am OK.

I would continue to monitor, though, since you will want your parameters to become stable ( assuming they are not stable from the beginning).

If you're planning on switching over everything from your smaller tank, what kind of salt do you use now?

Some things in the tank might not like the chemical switch.

But, i'd think that most salts are the same chemically (it's 99.99% salt and then each brand's 'ancient chineese secret' of additives/trace elements.) And since all the salts are trying to mimic natural sea water, they'll have the same things in them. (Just in different proportions.)
