Don't know how to fix this...

I have Cyano on sand bed. I tested my tank and Phosphate at 0.08. Nitrates is near 0. I know where the Phosphate coming from. My Top off water and new water changes. I changed All the RO/DI filter and tested again in new fresh batch of saltwater. Reading high 0.08 again. Running GFO in tank. I thought it was my Bio Pellents at first. So its not from lights or over feeding. I know its coming from tap which is filter with new RO/DI FILTERS. I'm lost what my next move to be.

What's the TDI in your water as it comes out of the di? I don't know why there should be any phosphates if your ro/di filter is working properly.

Pat....after changing the filters and DI run about 4-5 gallons through it first. This will clean out all the sediment etc and bring the TDS reading down to 0 again...then use it for a W/C and the top off.

Phosphate in your salt mix seems more likely than phosphate in ro /di water.

Will try it again tomorrow and by now making 10 gallons maybe next batch should be better. No not coming from Salt mix I tried two different brands of salt. EVS and Sailinity by seachem....Mike,You might be right. maybe I didn't run it long enough I ran it for 10 mins that would only be about maybe a gallon. Try AGAIN .........
