I have a 120g FOWLR looking to move within a few months into my new house. I have a Picasso trigger, Blue Hippo Tang, Yellow Tang, clown fish, bicolor angel.
5 fish in total. How can I transport them for the move? Is there a temporary tank size I can use to house these 5 fish for a few days inexpensively? I see Petco has $1 a gallon sale. Thanks

This question always makes me laugh.

Moving Fish: Move them the same way you moved them into your house. A container, a bag, a bucket. Only thing I'd be mindful of is temperature right now. So pick up a heatpack or make sure your car isn't too cold.

Setting up a holding tank: You don't actually need an aquarium to do this. Pick up a large rubber maid or something as long as you have a heater, some rock, and water flow/air pump in the tank you should be fine. It's not like they are staying there for weeks. I took a 10 gallon rubbermaid, put my heater in there, corals fish, and vortech on it and it was fine for like 4 days.

I didn't even think about that I can use a rubbermaid. Yes It might take a few days to set up the new tank since I need to breakdown drive to new house set it up which I need to prep by getting wall ready stand built etc and set it up the way I want it before I set it all up. Sorry I wasn't even thinking. Thanks

Moving is easy... Follow the steps below.

1. Buy a 240g tank and flowers (this will come into play later)
2. Set it up in the new place.
3. Transfer livestock.
4. Sell old setup on MR.
5. Tell wife that the tank just looks bigger in the new house.
6. Give flowers (from step 1) to wife when she doesn't believe you.
