Milk crate: is it safe in saltwater?

I am thinking of putting a milk crate in my sump. What do you guys think?

to hold rock rubbles. I have sand in my sump and do want rock rubbles to get mixed with the sand.

Putting milk in your reef tank or stealing milk crates?

Yes stealing is illegal but stores sell "milk crates" that you can use. If it has a company logo on it then it doesn't belong to you. Unless you own the company.

milk crates are rather big. couldn't you use egg crate. is that what you meant?
