i say its weird because under my impression algae grows when the lights are on in the tank. for me its opposite when my lights are on this stuff seems to burn away and it wont come back until the lights go out then it starts to grow. in the morning the lights come on and the sand is covered but then once again when the lights come on it goes away. anyone know why thats happening?

it looks like how diatoms would look covering the sand except its green and parts of it are a little small and stringy but not to bad. and i am at work right now but i will try to get one later when i am home.
