adding base rock to my tank

so i had 50 lbs of base rock originally in a tub with ammonia in it but then was advised that i didn't have to do this because it was dead rock. so i changed the water out completely and its been in the tub for about 2 days and still no ammonia. can i add this to the tank today if i wanted to? should i let it sit longer? should i add it piece by piece or can i add it all together. thanks guys

I would test Nitrites and Nitrates also and if all is 0 then I would say you are safe.

ok cool, if everything test out do you think i should just take it slow and add the rocks slowly or just get it over with and add all of them today.
