Anyone has problem with a green carpet next to a Crocea?

I am thinking of moving the a green carpet from one tank to the other where only space for such a large piece would be right next to the clam.

Do you think it will bother the clam or the clam's pumping action will irritate the carpet? The clam will pump whenever the algae blenny air drop poop bombs on him. I now call my algae blennys B52s

I wouldn't advise that placement. Clams are pretty resistant to most coral stings. However, carpet anemones aren't coral, they're inverts with a powerful punch.

Looks like I shouldn't put them too close after a simple experiment.

I touch the carpet with a rod and the carpet would stick to the rod immediately. I guess it will do the same to the clam.

Well got to sacrifice the center of my tank for placing the carpet then.

i would advise no to do it.. a had a carpet kill a giant dresa i had for over 5 years. hell that dam carpet killed tons of stuff on me.

Its all up to the anemone,If its stays where you put it and wont move then youre fine
Problem is ,it has to fine a place its happy with

There are a few members on the board with anemones on their tanks with no prob,or a few that had them with probs ,so it 50/50 i say


I had RBTA and GBTA .the GBTA stayed in the same spot for 6months and then deside to move ,Where the RBTA was always moving from one side of th tank to another.go figure

Thanks ronan, but my real concern is like what Deanos puts it.
Is it going to cause conflict with this initial placement.

I think I may be able to entice the carpet to stay in one place. I am able to always lure aptasia out for capture. And since this animal is not fast moving, I should have enough time to react even if it does move around. However, if its sting is already too strong for the clam in the first place, then I cannot put them side by side.

MY rbta killed my clam within 2 days. its up to the anemone. if it finds it a threat, or if it feels that the clam, or coral is encroaching on its territory it will kill it.
