I have a 14 gallon biocube and the stupid plastic cover on the lights is really obnoxious. Not only does it reduce the light the goes into the tank but the screws that keep it attached are always loosening so salt creep is constanty making its way inside the cover, defeating the purpose of the cover in the first place.
Can I just take off the damn cover? Are the lights ok without it? Theres really a large distance between the surface of the water and the bulbs so i don't really see an issue as ling as I keep the bulbs clean...
