There is a big diffrince in price are the cadlight leds any good or just a bad china copy has anyone had good luck with sps with the cadlight leds??

I have the CAD Lights 48" LED fixture, always thought it was a little weak (90W) but then again I have nothing but soft corals and a couple brains. Interesting to see who chimes in here, because I wonder if these lights are causing my film algae problem.

Cadlights are most appropriate for softies. Their PAR/PUR output isn't sufficient for SPS. LPS needs at least 150 par to thrive. BTW, most LEDs are made in China, sold or branded by some US biz, even big names who makes LED lights.

Well, now THAT might explain why my two beautiful brain corals looked great - for a while :(

I ended up buying one of the ebay leds for the price this thing works great... everything looks happy it is 1/2 the size of my mh 2x as bright $10 cheeper a month to run a all around nice light!!!
