Wet then dried GFO still good to use?

Odd question.

I filled my TLF reactor with GFO. I filled it with water to get the dust out and found the lid's rubber seal was missing so obviously i couldnt use the gfo. The GFO was wet with tap water and I drained it and left the top off for it to dry out.

Is this GFO still good to use? Its been about 3 weeks.

I wouldnt use it. Maybe if you poured it out and let it dry on a flat surface, but left in the reactor I would not trust it.

I would also recommend using RODI to rinse GFO as tap water will reduce the life of GFO.

ive rinsed to much GFO a couple of times and i just let it dry and put it back in my container.no big deal

I would chuck it especially since it dried while absorbing tap water.
Better to rinse in RO when you are prepping it...imo

+1, there are some people who also recharge phosphate. But i always thought it was to much o a pain and seemed to be cheaper just to buy more.
