that happened to me once. i turned it off, when i turned it back on sometime later it was fine. where you dosing or had your hands in the tank? or did something major in the tank?

Products such as Stress Coat, interfere with a skimmers ability to perform its duty correctly. Try a water change without the AquaTap to reduce its concentration in the tank.

If you ever want to overflow the skimmer just use stresscoat, lol. I would turn it off for a while and let the chemicals fade out, then turn it back on and see if that helps. Whenever i use epoxy, the skimmer would go nuts. So now i just shut it off for a while and when i turn it back on it's on normal mode.

put a air pump (without airstone) into it to reduce the foam, adjust if necessary and do 10% water change. once it settles down, remove the air pump

or let it sit without the cup until the foam clears
