Mixing Sand?!

Hey everyone , think its ok to mix different live sand into my new display? Different manufactures?

Id be worried, what if the bacteria don't get along? Like what if the CaribSea bacteria and the Ocean Direct bacteria are xenophobic?

It's risky.

But so the mods dont delete this (they do actually moderate?) it's all the same crap. Why even bother with live sand? Use 'dead' sand and just add a cup of sand from someones tank. Boom, done.

When I was switching from CaribSea powder fine sand, I took most of it out and left only about a cup full in the tank. Then I replaced it with CaribSea Aragonite, and it just helped it seed it faster.

Yeah its no problem to mix.
