Adding live rock to an established tank

I want to add some Tonga branch to my established system. Should I get dry pieces and put them rite in or buy live rock and add it a little at a time

What size is your current tank and how much rock is in there already?
How old is the tank?

I've never had a problem adding a few pounds of live rock (say 10%) at a time. I would make sure it is grossly clean. In small amounts like this, I think the existing biofiltration can handle the temporary extra load.

I would not add any significant amount of dry rock without curing it first.

There's nothing wrong with doing little by little... it's just like adding sand. So long as you don't go crazy and add inches to your existing sand bed you'll be fine.
Everything in proportion.
