Only Clowns in a 120

How many clowns of different types would you guys recommend in a 120 gal tank? My next door neighbor would like to experiment pairing different types. I told him no more than 6. I went with the 40 gallon rule per pair. Obvioulsly he would like more. Give me your feedbacks and opinions. Im sure there are members on MR that tried this.

since a 120 isn't all that large, I would say no more than 3 types/pair. I would stay away from Tomato and Maroon clowns.

Do you mean different species of clowns or different "designer" clowns?

Currently he has a naked and a black ice. I believe they are both ORA. I will check later when I see him.
