So i woke up this morning to a cloudy tank, I knew right away what it was, my anemone decided to commit suicide it jumped into a Koralia 4.I haven't had this happen to me so i would appreciate if you guys told me the procedures to getting my tank back in track.
Thanks

Since it happened to you twice do you know why they do this cause I caught mine going into my power head but was able to see it as it was happening and turned off the power head before it got sucked in completely. After I turned it off it retracted and then opened later with no negative affect. It was my rbta and thankfully it survived the near suicide.

LTA's are notorious for getting sucked into powerheads. One of their defense mechanism is to fill the bottum of their foot with water and float away most times into a powerhead.

Was it walking around or did it stay put?

Usually anemones should be given a no pumps on grace period or a lower speed for vortech and tunze users. Shut them down or turn them down for 24 -48 hours and let the anemone grab on.

If you can do this because of sps or corals that need flow an anemone might not be a good idea. They all have different requirements in regards to flow lighting and where there foot goes.

Here is a good picture for ya so you know it happens to the best. This is a 2 foot gigantea

hey

I blame Ziggy it heard the conversation we were having on the phone last night and the anemone said i rather die before going back to Ziggy and pretty much committed suicide.

Thank You Ziggy...
