I have alot of frags on plugs that I would like to mount on a rock. Can I remove the rock and drill the same diameter in the rock? I know this sounds crazy but I dont know how else to mount these plugs...

Just make sure you keep the rock moist while you're working on it and be sure to rinse the rock in saltwater before putting it back into your tank. I think a 1/2inch masonary bit should do the trick for most plugs.

Another option is taking a part of pliers and snapping the bottom of the plug off and then gluing it to your rock work, this is what I do.

You can usually remove them from the plug also unless they have grown onto the plug too much. The ceramic you can trim, if its the annoying black plugs which i think are ORA plugs grap the top with pliers and squeeze the glue will seperate dont drop the frag.
