Which Glue Works Best For Gluing Corals And Rocks?

Which glues are good to use for gluing corals and using it for rock work?

Most people will tell you to go with IC Gel but I always used cheap dollar store crazy glue gel. You get 3 small tubes for a dollar!

I have used ic it works great I used the cheaper super glue from home depot it works good but the best I've used is permatex super glue
It has to be gel whatever you decide to use

Any super glue gel is good. My favorite one I've used so far has been Loctite. Not because the glue was better but because it's much easier to use. It's got these "triggers" on the side of the bottle you just squeeze them and it comes out. The others you have to do like a tube of toothpaste. It's not easy to hold a zoa frag, the plug and then roll that tube up to get the last little bit.

+1 I forgot about the loctite! I love those "triggers" as you call them. They definitley make things easier

When I glued my rocks together, I used a combination of Epoxy putty and dollar store crazy glue. The Glue kept the rock in place while the epoxy dried. Worked well. If you look in my tank pics, you can see the arch I made is still up and sturdy.

Now are all this glues safe to use inside and outside the tank?

Fishman you used the crazy glue huh how did that work out? I didn't know that you can use crazy gel in the tank. Is it reef safe?

Yes its reef safe and you can use it out or in the tank. Its basically all the same stuff, cyanoacrylate or something like that. Can't remember how to spell it lol

Thanks buddy you just made me save 15 bucks lol. But the crazy gel your talking about its the one with the red cap and the white small bottle correct?

The ones I used to buy from the dollar store where lil yellow tubes with green caps. Just make sure its gel and you should be good to go
