Tunze speed control

Well I finally stepped up and bought my first Tunze. I was very disappointed with the speed control on the driver housing. The soft piece of plastic that you need a toothpick size screwdriver to udjust the power and thus flow. Surely a company with this reputation for quality could have built something more substantial. Mine disintergrated in the first try. Anyone else have this problem?

which pump did you get. i never had that problem because i bought a controller so i only had to set it once when i first got it to max

I've turned the driver control from 30% to 100% with a small screwdriver and it seemed fine.
