Getting little patches of hair algae but nothing major.Refugium and skimmer doing it's job.Skimming dry.Losing too much water when skimming wet.
Do you have the lights on Nelson? Better to keep them off during the cycle![]()
OK. I have a question lets JUST say I have a tank put Rodi water in the tank put salt let it mix and boom let it sit and don't do nothing to the tank and just test
You will end up with a tank full of water that has salt in it..kinda like making new SW to do water changes in your tank.
To get a tank to begin to cycle you need to put something in it to cause the cycle to start..like a supermarket shrimp, or fish food, live rock (and some food so the bacteria on the rock has something to eat).
You are trying to grow bacteria...so that bacteria needs to come from somewhere.
..also..best to start your own thread if you aren't talking about the same topic![]()
