Moon/luna lights

when the main light go off do you need leave the moon/ blue luna light on all night. I have been cutting the light at 12am and the tank is dark not sure if they need to for spawning or the night critters or dark at 12am is ok??

I know people who do that without any problems. yes, it is ok to do. How many moon lights are you planning to run?

I have always had moon light in my fixture when I up graded to Leds I had to but a external one I am going to run 2 rio mini suns on a time that go on 1/2 hr before main light go off then the tank goes dark at 12 am.

FYI the rio min sun will not come back on when they loose power with a timer there is a sticker on the switch if you pull back the sticker put a few drops of gel glue on the switch put the sticker back on and hold it down to the glue dries it will stay on with the timer......

I just put the Blue and Navy LEDs on my fixture to 1%. Gives it a nice look.
