Instant Ocean Reef salt

i was just curious for anyone else using this salt did anyone have a problem with their magnesium? when i test my new water mixed with this salt the mag comes out to be very low around 1000 and i have been dosing the make up water to get it back up to 1300 which i hope is ok to do. but i was just curious if this is the case for everyone or did i just get a bad batch?

YUP. Search for a thread i made on this like 4 months ago. I would mix to 1.026 and my mag was 1800.

I switched to Red Sea. Way better.

yea i am going to switch to red sea as well. thats the black bucket the red sea coral pro i think its called right?

I've been using it for years and the cal and mag have always been low. They have to be bumped up which I get in bulk so it still cheaper than most brands and easy to find.

Yeah, sea coral pro. I would mix to 1.024 and then dose to desired results.

You dont have to do that 'blah blah change over to new salt slow' crap. Just go all at once and you'll be fine.

Question for you, are you getting that high reading towards the end of the bucket??? Make sure that you always mix the salt up before you mix!!!!

X2...always mix it up before using it...I find the bottom is always higher, but when mixed overall the #s are low again...
