I got glass cut and of course it's too big!

What size baffles did you use when making for 40b a sump? I remeasured today, I'm thinking 17 3/4, if you did different size please let me know. Tia

I don't believe these tanks are made to such stringent specs, I remember when making 2 20L sumps that the baffles when slightly different for both.

If you have sand paper or what glass shops call a sand rag, you can sand the piece down a bit.

17.5 was too big, I should have brought tank. I'm on 2nd set of glass this is thicker and fits nicely. 17 1/4"

Just annoyed I drove back down to work where I got it cut, he recut it. CHARGED me again for the cuts and he butchered it

So I dropped another 40 on glass on a place literally 2 min from my house that I found on accident

Which is why a nice old copy of the REAL paper Yellow Pages phone directory is such a handy thing to have around :)

..always best to bring the tank with you - then they when they screw up..it's their fault.

Good that you have it all fixed now!

Thanks. I marked on the outside with a sharpie where all the baffles were going. I put the middle baffle up first, then I traced the line of the next baffle with silicone. Then I put the baffle on the outside of the silicone and slowly moved the baffle over to the traced line were the silicone was, now the inside of that baffle has silicone so then I just have to add some to the other side where is easy to get to. Did the same thing with the other baffle.

I'm not sure if I explained right but if you didn't understand just let me know and you can call me.
