dood mad stuff, yes you can but i dont know if it can hold man. i suggest you silcone fromt he inside because the water pressure will push the silcone back. the problem is the crack might go further.

Dave, your frags look great dude. Very nice cache` you've got there.

As for the crack......hmmmmmm, are you looking for a permanent or temporary fix? Either/or, are easy.

Temporary, I'd clean it up and run a nice bead of Krazy Glue along it. A good amount below it too. Add silicone to the inside crack. Then take a ratchet tie down and wrap the tank.

Permanent, get another tank all dressed and ready for action. Take everything out of this tank, place in the new tank and then delicately use a hammer on this one and smash it to smithereens.

David if they built it and drilled the holes there has to be some sort of waranty on it. I mean it is only a few weeks old. If they don't warranty it I would give them an unsatisfactory review bothe here and on RC

no dought

if they built it and drilled it, everything was under there control and has thus far proven faultly.
call them or email them and demand a new tank.
dont inquire, or ask, but actually demand.
that method has worked for me, in severeal instances.

Good luck

Dave,

I cracked my fuge just like that turning the PVC into the bulkhead - my guess is that's what you did too.

If you can get a heater and a powerhead in the tank and drain it an inch or two below the crack, you are welcome to come down and get some weldon (acrylic glue). It is so fine and thin that the cappilary action of it will bond that crack as if it were never there and be as good as new.

LMK - if you want, take the tank apart and bring it down and ZI can glue it for you - for a frag of course.

I thought it was glass too.......GLASScages!

I would definitely let them know what happened. I find that you get more out of them nicely first. You can always fall back to demanding it. But once you start there, you put them on defense right away.

Jim is absolutely right about fixing it with weldon. Not a difficult thing to do actually. I can't imagine with prep, fixing it and cleanup that it would take more than a couple of hours. And that's taking your time.
