I cracked my fuge just like that turning the PVC into the bulkhead - my guess is that's what you did too.

If you can get a heater and a powerhead in the tank and drain it an inch or two below the crack, you are welcome to come down and get some weldon (acrylic glue). It is so fine and thin that the cappilary action of it will bond that crack as if it were never there and be as good as new.

LMK - if you want, take the tank apart and bring it down and ZI can glue it for you - for a frag of course.

David, Acrylic cracks can propagate(grow) from pressure, even after a good glue penetration in the old crack.

On airplanes, we would make a stop drill hole at the end of the crack with all edges smoothed out to prevent new cracks from developing.

My recommendation is to call glass cages to see if they will give you a new tank since it should be under warranty. Otherwise drain it, stop drill it at the end of the crack and put a patch that is at least 2x the longest crack dimension over it from the inside. I think it is difficult to do a good gluing job with water(pressure) in the tank, draining it and move everything should not take a long time to do.

I would be very concern with the possibility of this crack draining out the main tank it is attached to while at you are at work.
