Hey guys. I already have a occ clown hosting my anemone. My tank also has a blue hippo, yellow, and Achilles tang, flame angel and finally a foxface.

My question is would I still be able to put in a snowflake pair in my 110? I don't wanna add them if the more experiences reefers are overwhelmingly sure that adding them would mean they will be harassed and die.

What does everyone think?

I would be careful putting them in the tank with another clown. If you were to introduce them all to the tank at the same time you would not have any prob IMO.

If you want to test, you should put either the pair or the single fish in a breeding net to see if they will try to beat each other up.

well i made the mistake of not knowing to purchase clowns in pairs and bought a maroon gold bar by itself in hopes to find another one.. ended up getting two black and whites to see what would happen and there were problems but due to space that they have i guess there is understanding bc my pair stays on one side in its green carpet anenomie and my clown stays by his withered away rose tip on the other... ( like my third rosetip in a young tank to die... ) tank as of now is 8 months old had the maroon 6 months and the black and whites 4 months...

So they stay away on opposite sides of the tank? My tank is big enough for them to do that.

Actually I never did. I haven't pulled the trigger on getting the pair. Got obsessed with corals and now have over 50 frags.

Nice! The fish were nice that you were thinking of but more frags are so much better... If I could go back I would of picked more exotic fish rather then the ones I have.. My black and white ones I hate lol they're mean Lil bastards lol every time I stick my hand on their side of the tank they bite me.. People bitters I swear... Lucky there not dogs...

haha, well if they were dogs you have a chance of training them. good luck training the fish. haha. I've completely stopped thinking about fish. I of course take care of my fish and feed them a nice mix of food and they are all nice and plump but the corals is where its at.

My wallet is draining too quickly though. :help:

Smh I think until you get to that point that you get your tank running right and finally learned your tank that's the only way it'll be less expensive.. My tanks birthday is June 21 and it'll be one year.. Still learning it and combating Lil problems.. I'm actually in the process in an upgrade... Not in size but stand and equiptment..( Almost 4000.00 in lights, stand, controller, plumbing, algae scrubber, phosban reactor and possible calcium reactor) my tanks top brace snapped and was planning an upgrade in January to a 100 gallon but circumstances made the upgrade earlier.. Staying with a 75 gallon though not sure if my floor could handle 50 gallons more of water and upgrading the sump and skimmer.. How long has your tank been running?

no my wallet is going to more and more expensive corals and then to equipment to support them. Recently bought the reef keeper lite. Its great! wish i got it from the beginning. Also not too long ago started running gfo and carbon. Pretty soon with all this sps im going to have to get a calcium reactor. You know what im saying with your upgrade about to happen.

$4000.00 thats a nice amount of coin to drop in one shot. what kind of controller are you getting?

My tank has been up and running for about the same amount of time. been on MR since september but i don't know the exact date for my tank in the summer of last year.

To be honest I don't know what controller I'm going to go with yet? I'm going to go with the ecotech xr30r lights x2 I have a red algae problem due to phosphates I'm thinking... cant fiqure why I have it... Checked all the water going in and it's at zero so I got to check my feeding habits... My light hrs suck from 1-8pm to keep the algae problem calmer but it's affecting my growth... How is that controller working for you? Is it user friendly?

The reef keeper is great in my opinion but i should have sprung for the elite. it has extra plugs and a ph probe. Very Very easy to use and program. I have my powerheads, chiller, heater on it. I want to get another pc4 to connect my lights to it.

I had a cyano problem from not keeping up on my water changes and overfeeding. I used red slime remover and it was gone. hasn't been back. I also stepped up my bi-weekly water changes and cut my feeding down a bit.

I want it to monitor my parameters.. I want to get all the probes really.. I might use it to plug my power heads and my lights but I don't think I'm gonna use it to control them bc I have the mp40wes x2 which communicate wirelessly to each other... Can you monitor your tank off your phone and control it off your phone?

I know the reef keeper elite or the one above it has a net module so you can check it on your phone but i dont know if you can control it remotely. There are a variety of different probes you can get for it. check the website for the specifics. I only have the lite.

The red slime remover didn't affect my corals at all except for my blue sponge wasnt very happy though. It was the only one that reacted to it and bleached. The tank was a tint of green/yellow and after two days all they cyano was gone. I did a water change and turned my skimmer back on.
