I?m currently using an MRC Beckett skimmer but since moving into a bigger sump I cant use this skimmer in the sump anymore and the idea of plumbing it outside the tank isn?t very appealing.
The problem is the distance between the top of the sump and the bottom of the tank is 5 inches which means if I had the MRC in the tank I couldn?t remove it. I?m looking at the tunze 9015 since that has a footprint of 4x4 which would fit in and out of the tank. I could go with a HOB like the coralife superskimmer which would fit in the back of the sump easy.
If I could find a Skimmer that you can disassemble and put into the sump I have a lot of space inside the sump itself.
Tank is 120 Gallon mix of SPS/LPS/Softies. I would prefer a smaller pump with low wattage. Any suggestions?
