It is a great looking plug and play for sure. My question is, is it really that much worth it and does this particular series of setups make reefing actually "easier"? Meaning is it really worth spending that much money in one shot and not worrying about components and etc, instead of buying everything separate, as most of us hobbyists do.

Considering that these larger models do come equipped with a separate sump... a built in top off reservoir a skimmer... sure it's easily something that one person can say... it comes with everything I need... otherwise how much more would you end up paying if you purchased separately?
Just about as much.... if not more, depending on equipment costs.

Yeah, with buying separate and all, lights, skimmer, sump, TANK, ato, plumbing, pumps, timers, controls, and etc, I guess it comes out to the same price.

What I really like is how everything is in place and just the quality of every component.

I just like it for the top off res built in... I'm simple.

You wind up paying for all the design and engineering...its basically a huge all in one tank....with aalllll the fixin's. The light fixture is genius not to mention 10 bulb. Built in 10 gal reservoir for ato...awesome. Only downside i see is that even on the biggest model the cabinet only allows for a 25 gallon sump.

Also, there is not chiller included, but there is a compartment included for a chiller to fit under the stand, next to the sump.

you probably end up paying a lillte more if you buy the items separate. tank with stand ,lighting,sump,float switch,pumps,plumbing,and power center.
