Anybody have or hear anything good about this jbj unibody 54 watt dimmable fixture? I just saw it for the first time tonight online and figured maybe someone on here heard some specs on it and opinions on it. So just curious now about it. I have a solana system. I was thinking aqua illumination nano led light at first but now kinda looking into this. Lps and softies only going to be in my tank...

Orrrr any other reccomendations u have... so far only really looked into the sol blue and nano and looking for the 300ish price range. I like the sol blue but i want other opinions...

Here is a link on it...

It's a nice looking light, but I don't think anyone has anything other than pictures of the unit. I was looking into purchasing it for my frag tank... but ended up doing something different.

There is a few nice videos i found on youtube. Im really starting to like it. I read alot of good reviews so far. I like the mounting arm too. Much nicer then the sol nano arms that everyoneee hates. 54 watts is nice and plenty of light for my solana ideas. And the dimmer controller seems real easy and fun because there are six settings and spots to hook up any controler.

Real tempting... hmm

I think it's the same as the led I have from nanocustoms.
It at least similar.
Possibly the same guy did it. As he left to work over there.

I have the nanocustoms one and I love it. I have it on the edge.
Great ballast. And water resistant. I believe. But to a certain point.
Mine doesn't have the arm but to me it looks flimsy. Not really sure.
But a really nice built Fixture.

Thanx

They have them and Ocean Gallery II. We just set up a 20l and were considering it but the dimming only by the slider on the back of the ballast kinda turned us off. The spread would be a bit tough as well. It's mounts right on the tank so you can't move it up to get more spread. He turned the one they had on for us and I wasn't overly impressed.

Pretty sure they could be dimmed from a controller though. Pretty sure I read that on the box.

Google nanocustoms led 3.6. They have a video.

I have an external ballast.
With the sliders too.
But It has an on/ off/ and controller on.
That way you can override it if you need it.

Seems like the jbj has it too

Thanx

Not to highjack the thread (oh hell it's already too late) but everyone in this thread has the coolest avatars. Can you recommend any programs/sites to knock out a thumping avatar?

And if this sounds like I'm an old fart who has no idea what's he's talking about, well then it's accurate.
