If your drain terminates below the water line downstairs raise it up out of the water. If it's already above the water line if you have a durso pipe you can drill a series of small holes in the top cap until you get the right airflow for the draining to go smoothly. If you drill too many holes you can cover one back up with tape until you get a new cap and then drill the right amount of holes and then use the good one.

Can I play too? :flirt:

...or you could skip the airline and just put the air valve directly into the cap..this is how mine are set up..just make sure the valve is snug in the hole.

Thats actually what they refer to as "flushing". If you do any of the ideas that I, Kathy or Nano gave you that will stop. Theres not enough air to let the over flow keep up. You'll see it'll go away and go smooth as silk as soon as you get the right amount of air availale to the drain(s).

not sure why you are bumping the thread? you were given the advice you asked for.. and thast is really the only advvice you need.. i think 80% of the people here would have given you the same if not similar advice, that is y ytou got no other responses..

i had the same problem with a system i had and had to drill a nice size hole thru the side of the cap into the durso and then twisted the cap to adjust the size of the hole exposure until it got quiet.. but its all the same concept u need air to flow to create a smooth flow, all the plumbing in your home is the same way if you didnt have a vent on your drains when you flushed the toilet upstairs it would come out your sink downstairs..
