Drains/returns sizing

I drilled my Tank with a 1" bulkhead as a drain... should I use a 1" return or a 3/4" bulkhead....? its a 36g bow front

use a 3/4" bulk head with a 3/4 return line. if you get the bulkhead that is threaded both sides you can even use lock line nozzles.
