Red seas NO3 PO4

Has anyone tried this. My nitrates were over 25 last friday and i just checked them today and they were below 5. From what i heard its safer then vodka dosing. I am dosing slightly lower then suggested at 6 ml per 100 gallons instead of 8 as suggested but its working very well. im going to lower the dose to 3ml after water change on saturday.

where did we say no red sea dosing? remeber i have a 92 corner i build up alot more nitrates due to my tank shape..we agreed no zeo but when it comes to my corals well being with nitrates up to almost 30 i had to take action

Thats carbon dosing bud, nitrates could easily be brought down with some water changes

Whatever.Plus the contest hasnt started yet LOL.. show me where we said no carbon dosing. no matter how many water changes i do which is 2 a week my nitrates will never come down due to the shape of my tank unless i had no rocks in my tank. I will stop come tomorrow when the frags are in my tank :biggrin:

i have more than a basket ball size chaeto i can spare....the algae tank is lit by jerl's fave....2x 24w t5's.:teeth:
yes i have both....the algae tank with t5's and a refugium with ai. the t5 grows the chaeto faster but perhaps it has more to do with the kelvin temp. than the type. t5's is closer to 10k but the ai is probably 14-20 k.
btw i'm running mh's, vho's, t5's, and leds.....lol.....but that's another thread....

duke, do you know if the redsea can be used with bio pellets? i always have problem with nitrates...can't get lower than 10-15(pinpoint digital monitor). phos not so bad- 0.01-0.03(hanna)
