Anyone hear any good news on AEFW remover

I heard that zeo came out with a product that will help us remove AEFW without tearing the system apart. anyone try it or heard anything real positive about it.i heard it doesnt kill AEFW but makes the slime coating on SPS thicker and the flatworms cant attach and can easily be blown off and fish take care of the rest

I looked into it last night. Doesn't sound too impressive yet. Have to wait and see. Your tank didn't look like it needed it. I hope my frag was clean !! Lol

That's what's up lol, if you have doubts and with day large colony's or frags that probably have aefw or red bugs. The Bayer home insect stuff is the bomb. It is so much more affective then coral rx in my opinion. Everything falls of the frag or colony. Hopefully this new stuff works well for long term prevention, but if u have to continue to use it for the life it ain't worth it. Mad exspensive.

I have no idea about the product, but it seems silly since AEFW are pretty easy to blow off corals as it is.

Really? If u have ever been infested with aefw , then u would know that blasting them off does almost nada. Yea ,U get them off, but the eggs are left behind causing re infestation. Not saying blasting them off doesn't help for the time being, but it does little to none to alleviate the problem. U may also be spreading them to near by colonies that where not infested to begin with. If your a lucky one and blast some off and they don't come back , your one lucky buck and should buy a lotto ticket

well it also keeps the AEFW from getting onto the acro. they say the worm will eventually die of starvation or fish will pick them off

Yea, it has a promising idea behind it. If u can get them to starve out and say " fall off " or " die " , then a fish that prays on them can chew them up and "blank" them fools out. If its coming from zeo they may have a good grasp behind there concept witch should be a hopeful one to anyone how has or may be dealing with them. Its one thing to have to dip some small frags but when u have established colony's , it is stressful enough having aefw on them and also having to pull them out to dip so this could be a real game changer as a full tank remedy or aid to help rid of them pesky little f'ers. Big ups to zeo for putting in the time and research to help find a possible cure

Hopefully it may work with some acros, but it won't with many of the smooth skin acros which don't produce slime and are usualy the first to get attacked by AEFWs also thats why many RTN during dipping. I read a few articles that an elevated iodine level for some reason will increase their population growth rate....
