Yeah, the way to determine this is at night, when your lights are off.....wait like 5 mins and shine a flashlight at the coral. It is much easier to then spot the critters. If they are orangy-reddish colored dots, then yes, you have red bugs.
Interceptor is the cure, but you have to do some initial reasearch and the medication is available only by veterinary prescription. (it is the treatment used for bugs/parasites in puppies)
HOWEVER, since this is a controlled substance that is available strictly through Rx you cannot ask for it on an online forum. If red bugs is your case, and you need interceptor, simply go to your local vet with some printed screenshots of threads and simply explain you need this for this reason. Usually, they will give it to you.
A close up picture with the flashlight pointed at the coral would help us to Id what it is exactly that is attacking your coral.
If this is not red bugs, your second option is lugols dip. Stronger than coral Rx and I highly recommend it for dipping. Depending on what brand/bottle you get, you must read the instructions carefully not to make the dip too concentrated. Usually a dip lasts 5-10-15 mins, again, depending on what brand lugols you get. I recommend either
brightwell or kent. Both are excellent.
