prattreef Mike and I were talking and he is starting to think it might be bacterial. So my question to you is how do I treat a bacterial problem?
The red slime Im taking of it with zeovit coral snow and zeobak which I think is working.
The phosphate and the junk in the sand is getting takin care of with zeovit bio mate. And gfo's.
The nitrates are being held down with BRS bio pellets.
Please let me know..
Thanks

My problem with that is that all or most all are glued and puddied or encrusted to the main rock and that can cause a lot of damage and problems. My main rock falling over breaking the glass would be one of the problems.. It sounds like all i have to do is let it run its course and dont put anything new in for a few months and then start all over again with the sps. I dont want to mess with the.tank to bad cause i have fish (achilles tang) that i dont want to stress out.

Only do it to the ones that are stning at the base. If they are stning from the base theree is no worry about encrusting part.cut it off and treat them. Instead of just letting the piece die. If it keeps happening to others do them same thing. If its happening from the tips down you might as well cut the piece of from where its encrusting and treat that one as well. You can do it one at a time over an hour period to not stress your fish out

Some and most that start to rtn start in the middle of the colony and the branches are very close together so its very hard to get to them with out taking them off the base rock.
