Anyone use Moonlights?

I saw the subject of moonlights discussed on the forum at the saltwaterfish.com site. Some people argued running them all night is bad because this means corals never fully close, and if they remain partially open all night because some light is available they won't be fully open during the day either. And then someone argued that too much moonlight can also lead to algae. Don't know about either argument myself... But while it's true that the moon is always there and illuminates the ocean at night, there is such a thing as a cloudy night on occasion.

dmitry i agree with that statement somewhat but i am gonna do some research for myself and find out.... im pretty sure all night is not that bad of a thing but it depends how bright ur lights are...

also even with my lights off all of em i still have polyp extension.... so i dunno.... will do my research and post here..

I would be interested to know as well if there are any negative effects, so far none that i can see with my setup, however i do noticed that my cabbage leather isnt opening up much during the day anymore and is more open when the moonlights first come on :grumpy:...but its also right next to a giant hammer so maybe its just been getting stung?? I'll rearrange later...
