Where the hell do you find ice melt when the temps are in the 70's?:headache:

I was going to swing over to Home Depot and ask Special Services. I presume that the stock only gets placed in the back and not shipped out of the store. Anyone have any ideas.

Dowflake calcium chloride has other purposes beyond melting ice so it may very well be available at HD all year round. Have you checked?

Yea, I checked Depot, but being the weather is nice, it was like they were giving everything in the store away, so there really wasn't anyone free to ask, so I looked around myself and didn't see any.

I'll try a local hardware store here in town and see there.

I remember reading on RC this was a huge problem for the reefers on the west coast. they had to have it specially shipped to them.

I imagine if you live in the south it could be equally as frustrating finding the two part ingredients.

Ok, friend of mine had the pellet in his garage and I stole some. Mixed up a batch of recipe 1 and all set to go.

Question, on a (120 tank, 60 sump/refugium) 180 gallon volume, how much do you pour in. I used the calculator, but the amount looks high to me. Calc currently at 380 want to go to 420, higher would be nice, but I'll take anything over 400. Thanks.

Ran the numbers Herman, and doing what he said.

Spykes, appreciate the offer. He had the Peladow.

Aaron, added 1/3 this morning and will add more this evening.
