Hey all,
So I returned from a 4 day business trip to find that my RO/DI unit was not working. Even better, my wife saw this as water was not going into the fuge (via the auto-fil mechanism) and filled the tank with tap water...
So here is the gist:
- The Island Reef and Fin guys order a custom RO/DI unit that they installed in my basement and ran tubes to the 1st floor. They also built an auti-fill and top-off mechanism that sits in the fuge on the 1st floor). I think this might have gone bad. As many of you know, the Island Reef and Fin guys are out of the biz and i know longer have there personal contact info.
The weird part is that there is no water coming into the tank and there is still pressure in the system... I dont get it. My plumbing skills stink!
Might anyone be a DIY expert that might know how to get it working again? I will gladly pay for someone to fix/replace what was built ASAP as I am travelling next week (I live in Brooklyn)
If any of you know of someone that could professionaly help me and quickly, please send me your reccos of who to talk too as I would like to get it resolved as quickly as possible.
Please feel free to email me at [email protected] or call my on my cell at 917-531-5680.
As always, the help of my fellow reefers is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Nick
