tri state area aquariums?

Im looking to take my wife and kids on a aquarium trip for a weekend anyone have opinions

Totally agree. Absolutely worth the trip. The argument can be made that for its size, it is the best aquarium in the country. For a reefer, it is unquestionably the best. FYI is now called the LI aquarium.

+1 and there is a very nice hotel directly next door now too and they have an indoor pool.

Don't forget the Tanger outlets 2 miles from LI Aquarium! Wife will be happy too.

I been to the one in Camden NJ well worth the trip and its 5 minutes out of downtown Philly so you can make a weekend out of it. I stayed in Mt Laural at the CoCo Keys indoor water park and made it a total aquatic weekend for the kids.

The one I posted is about 2hrs away from NY. Right across the Delaware River is Philly. There is also a Battleship Museum near by or you could take the drive across and check out the Philadelphia Zoo.

Some good ideas here, we have a big age range that me and my wife have to keep amused son and girlfriend are 17 ,me and my wife 36 and a 13 month old daughter.

Best aquarium hands down is the Maritime aquarium in CT.

The aquarium in Mystic CT is ok and you could take the ferry over that-a-way after visiting Riverhead, which might also interest the kids - if the weather is nice.

Yea the one in brooklyn sucks , Atlantis is definitely a nice aquarium and it's pretty big. We went out to the Boston Aquarium it was pretty cool also they have a giant cylinder tank that goes from top to bottom I think there's like 500 species of fish in there or something. I haven't been to the mystic one in forever but I have been wanting to check it out again. This Jersey one looks pretty decent too I might be making a trip out there as well.

it was class trip day though and the parents were worse than the kids. maybe it was just the day

if you looking in ct then maritime in norwalk isbetter then the one in mystic and a lot closer from a reefer standpoint. mystic has some reef but a lot of ship building and that kinda stuff.
