Halogen lights instead of MH?

Why we united reefers cannot use Halogen lights from Home Depot? They are way much cheaper than MH.

also, i believe metal halides last longer than hallogen, and are more efficient, but i could be wrong on that

MUCH less energy efficient than metal halide with less par, not to mention the spectrum. Not worth considering.

Wrong Spectral outputs, and Kelvin as well as low PAR, cost more to run, and higher heat, and.....
