Hello fellow reefers i have a general question so i have read that dosing potassium is good for the coloration of sps corals so my question to the group is should i dose and if so how much and which brand is good i currently have the one from ESV i havent used it yet. I do weekly water changes on my tank 20 gallons on a 120g reef i use Coral Pro from Red sea. So any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated guys and gals thanks in advance

Many people will tell you to never dose without testing to see if you truly have a deficiency of whatever you're adding. I started dosing potassium a few days ago trying to get the red and pink sps to color up more, still need more time to see if it has any better results then weekly water changes.

ive found alot of salts are slightly deficient.. but others are spot on, like ESV... but you really need to test to see where you are, an overdose is worse than an under dose in the case of potassium.. get a test kit, the one from zeovit is a pain to use.. theres another one out there that is a titrate type test.. get that its abt 30-40$ and you will know for sure..
