I have a lil 10 g I wanna set up for
My mom. I have live sand and dead rock. Will it speed up the cycle or eliminate it if I use water that from a tank already set up?

u will go thru a cycle as far as speeding up i dont think cycles can be sped up let mother nature take its course

The mature water will add live bacteria to the system and help jump start the cycle which is a good thing. I would do 50/50 .

it would help but not necessarily speed up the cycle. best bet is still to test for ammonia-nitrite-nitrate to see when it's fully "cycled".
