I am looking into changing my lights for my 90 gallon tank i actually have T5+6 strips of LED i was looking into changing to all LED aqua illumination to be exact. But i have read some threads that people have but in the internet regarding LED. How they aren't as great as they say and how it can bleach the corals. So was just wandering for those that have had t5 and LED what is the best for my coral i don't want to kill them.... Any suggestions.. Preference... any feed back would help lots.. Looking to do some LPS and sps in my tank. some people say that colors are better with t5 and others say the opposite.........

T5.. I have both LEDs and T5 and T5 brings out the coloration much more so over than LEDs. I noticed that LPS have definitely suffered and do not look as vibrant under LEDs.

I ran an ai sol blue and the colors pop, but the colors of my Lps became very washed out. I don't know if that makes sense. My reds disappeared from a few of my chalices as well as zoas. I ran it for about 10 months and pe.tsonally was unhappy. Even though they are strong the tank itself looks a bit dimmer than t5s. After about a week of going back o t5s my colors on he red chalices all came back strong and darker. Personally I don't think they are ready yet. I think the pop LEDs give are nice but overall better colors come out with t5. I think t5s with blue led supplements such as a reef brite at Pete,ct combination.
