So I can't find "locally" a new MAG 9.5. Here is my old one where the screw head snapped off. The rest of the screw is in as you can see in the photo. Do you think this is safe enough to use? The screw is in just the head came off as I tightened it. My lfs told me a rio 3100 would do the same but it is crap so I am wondering since I cleaned this pump which surprisingly has been clean since the 5 years it has been running. I cleaned it last 2 years ago. Do you think I can get away with using it still or should I get a new MAG 9.5 online. It sucks since my lfs charged me $125 for the RIO and I can't return it.

One broken screw shouldn't hinder it uesless from what i see in the pic. As a matter of fact this pump should have a total of six screws.Test it out in a bucket of water...

i am sure it will run what should I test for I can't see the pump not working. I just don't want to get electrocuted.

Live current doesn't come in contact with this part of the pump. It's suppose to be water tite unless the cord is damage or water breech the housing through a hole or a crack.
