Need help with selecting LED

Okay guys so i know I'm a long way away from my bday (november just in case you wanna send gifts :smile::smile::smile but I'm looking to get away from my Hamilton Cebu MH/T5 fixture and upgrade to a led system butr not sure whats good whats bad so here is what i was looking at They are call maxspect i was thinking a three module unit to start on my 120 gal tank so what do you guys think has anyone used these before and is there one out there better other than the radion can't afford them right now let me know guys ps the tank is 60" long

You should look into the KEY LED K3 Bridgelux versio they're made by the same company I believe they less expenses too or the Orphek Nilus?s led very nice

This morning i started a thread trying to deciede between the ai sol blues and the maxspect for my 110g. From what ive heard the sols were the way to go. You should look into them, i ordered this morning.

They look great but out of my price range its almost 3g for my size tank i think i may have to go with the maxspect

So you have a 60"/5ft tank... which means you will probably need at the minimum a 4 unit maxspect. which will probably run you $2k.

go with the AI's... 4 units will run you 1600 bucks plus 80 bucks for a controller and your good to go.

okay so which AI's do i get and can i get them one by one until i have all four
and what color spectrum am i getting

it's all preference now...
if you like more white... just get the ai sols... if you like more blue.. ai sol blue.
you can purchase all separately through one of our many fine vendors.

you can do one by one and you would get the sol blues which i think are better looking in color. with the controller you have the option of changing intensities and the color around with what is pleasing to your eyes

well i wanna do whats best to bring out the color in my sps and maximum growth so I'm thinking 2 of each

The AI Sols are the best value in my opinion, and our best selling LED. I would suggest the Blues which arent too blue but provide nice rich, bright light. There are more expensive LEDs but with the controller, and mounting rails, AIs are the way to go.

so from the videos that i have seen it seems to me like all of the sol's do both blue and white so how do i know which one get

The Sol white units have blue LEDs for the purpose of color correcting the output to something that is more acceptible to reef keepers. The Sol blues provide light that appears to the eye more like halide + actinic. Hope that makes sense.

Get the AI Sol blue. I have a sol
Blue and a sol white. The white unit is slightly yellowish when run at a high strength.
They are a great vale!

okay so i have now narrowed my selection to ai super blue or orphek nilius anyone ever use those before i wanna start building my light in june i figure i buy one at a time i should have them all by sept i think three would be good for my tank to start

if those are the choices... I would go with Ai.

Start with 2 ai units and see how you like it. 3 is enough on a 5ft tank. I have 4 on a 6ft tank and it gets plenty of coverage.
