Need some help with the measuring on esv part 2 it say dose 1 ml per 4 gallons of aquarium capacity. How many should I be dosing then? Before I was doing 15mls I would like to know if I should continue to dose 15mls to my tank like before or not.

Start off with about 10-12 ml. If your tank has maybe 50 gallons of true water volume. U divide that by 4 ml which gives u 12.5 ml. But start slow. Start around 10 maybe even less. And make sure you test levels before and after dosing to see what's actually happening inside the tank. Hen once u have figured out how much your tank I consuming u can figure out a dosing regiment.

This is what you want to do:

You're going to have to test your water pretty much daily and most likly twice a day. Write down what you get everyday. Over a week or two you will start to get an idea of what you're tank is using.

Let's say that you test your ALK and it's at 8 today. You test it tomorrow before you dose anything and it's at 7.2 (I know, a big difference and probably isn't going to be that way but this is an example!). Dose 10ml and wait an hour or 2 and test again. Let's say your ALK is now 8.0 again. After you do this for a week or 2 you will know that in order to keep your ALK at 8 you need 10ml of dosing. Same goes with the calcium component. Make sure you are using good test kits too. Don't skimp on them. Make sure they aren't expired too. I'm not saying you have to go out and drop $50 on a Hannah checker (although it wouldn't hurt) but it will ruin the results if you aren't getting accurate tests to start with.

You can always text me if you run into any problems.
