Help with Nitrate~JBJ 28G

So I want SPS coral and I understand water quality is huge. I bought a better Skimmer( auaqmax HOB) and a better pump(MP10). In my middle slot of my tank I have Chemipure, carbon and a sponge that I change daily plus I do weekly water changes. My nitrate results are at 20 ppm. I need help bringing it down. one more thing i got two mangrove

my nitrates were super high i did some water changes and bought some liquid from petco called nitout i think the bottle was black no lie i used it and added alittle extra and am at zero now that might help

How about some info like how much live stock how often do you feed plus how much rock you have food could be getting stuck in the rock work.
