Will joes juice or Kalk kill an encrusting montipora I have one getting close to my blue tort and there really is now way to chip it off on take the rock out so it's got to go

or you can get yourself a small tube of glue that you dont mind getting wet... and glue the area that is spreading. This will stop it temporarily, and kill off the coral in the area that is getting close.

The suggestion about the putty would work well. I will kill whatever's underneath and like he said just remove, replace, sell and repeat. Can I ask what kind of monti it is. I have a cap and spongeods that were growing into each other over time they just seen to cancel each other out and there is always about a 1/4 space between them for several months now.

It's a spongeods getting really close to my blue tort its got to go

Tough call then. I think the putty might be the safest way. The chance of overdoing the Kalk could mean the death of both corals. The putty would definatly kill the coral under it. Eventually it will encrust though.
